I haven't told anyone about this blog and not sure I want to use it as much more than a "journal" of sorts for me, but in case anyone stumbles across it, I figure I better introduce my boys to you! I am so blessed to be the mom of 3 wonderful boys who certainly keep me busy but I love being their mom.
Landon
Landon is my big boy. He is 3 and a half and getting bigger by the minute. I am amazed each day at the things he says, does, remembers, imagines…it’s so much fun to see the world through his eyes. Even if it’s through a temper tantrum. He loves to tell us what he will say or do next…for example, he will say “when daddy comes downstairs I will tell him that I am going to play with my trains.” And he loves to recreate things – if he falls off the couch and we laugh, he has to try over and over and over. Landon love, love, loves (did I say loves) Thomas the train. I’ve lost count of how many he has and just when I think he’s getting tired of them he will play with them for hours or ask to watch movie after movie. He’s a great big brother and loves making his little brothers laugh. It’s been a fun 3 years watching him grow and while I can’t believe 4 is quickly approaching!
Austin and Aiden
Our twins…Austin and Aiden are 8 months old. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone this year. Austin and Aiden made their entrance into this world at 35 weeks in February. Austin born first, weighing 5 lbs. 5 oz. and 20 inches long. Aiden made his debut 5 minutes later at 6 lbs. 4 oz. and 20 inches long. We were surprised by their delivery, but with only a couple days in the NICU for Aiden, they came home just 3 days later and are doing great.
Austin
Austin is our wild boy. That boy is always moving…and he’s not even mobile yet! He’s always moving his arms, legs, both – whether sitting, standing, being held, eating – you name it, he’s moving. He’s not chatting much, but loves to blow raspberries and grunt as loud and hard as he can to get our attention. Austin is like Landon – very little hair. But talk about the eyes – both babies have beautiful blue eyes, but Austin’s are so big they get me every time. And he’s now our champion sleeper! This is the same boy who spent almost 2 months in a swing all night long in our bedroom – swinging the whole time! Now I can lay him down about anytime and he will take a great nap and sleeps well at night. Amazing! Austin loves to give big open mouth kisses and has learned to blow raspberries on my cheeks. Love it!
Aiden
Aiden is our snuggle bunny. He would much rather be held, especially while sleeping. Like Austin, he loves to give huge open mouth kisses and pull you in close. I love to snuggle with him. Aiden has 1 almost 2 teeth on the bottom in front. with one on the top close to popping out. And he babbles all the time and is starting to say “da da da da” even though not to Daddy, but I’m sure that will come soon. When Aiden is sleepy, he puts his hands back behind his head and it’s so sweet and relaxed looking. He’s done it ever since he was a few weeks old. While Aiden used to be my champion sleeper, he’s becoming our cat napper most of the time. I can’t yet figure out why, but we keep working on it. In his own way, Aiden can look at me and melt my heart every time and pick him up. He also loves to grab his toes and if he can get them into his mouth – great!
I love my boys. When I think back a few years, there were many days of infertility and grief that I wondered if I would ever bring a baby home…and now I’m the mom of 3 boys. Amazing how life works!!!
