Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day this year was just a nice, relaxing day at home. We didn't have anything planned and we just relaxed around the house. All in all I think Dave had a good day with his boys! The picture above was tough to get...didn't help it was in the evening right before showers...plus all 3 boys are just harder to photograph these days. But I thought it turned out pretty good.

And below are just some fun shots from the day. Nothing exciting...just Dave enjoying his boys!

I'm so thankful that our boys have such a great father and role model. I always knew Dave would be great with our kids, but seeing him with the boys is so special to me. Even in the most stressful moments, he is very gentle and caring with the boys. Love you honey!

The boys LOVE outside!!!

June 10th was the day we had to be out of our house. It was also the second evening we slept at our summer home. We tried to wear the boys out...and for the most part we did by playing outside...but it still took a few days for them to sleep better. It always amazes me how kids can sleep through so many things...screaming brothers, calling for Mom, banging their heads on the cribs. And to think I ever worry about making too much noise!

Anway - these boys love being outside! Luckily here we have a lot of room to run. Here are some pictures we took on our first "official" night out of the other house. I love my boys - they are so darn cute! (If I do say so myself!)

Aiden (above)...what are you up to these days?
*You are so sweet...you love to give hugs!
*You love to just walk and walk and walk outside.
*You love to dance! You've even got moves to the sound of the vacuum! I can't wait to see if you are my musical boy as you get older! You feel it!

Austin (above)...what are you up to these days?
*You are so expressive with your face. The expressions you come up with are too cute.
*You are into "bear hugs". You will come up to us with your arms stretched out - sweet!
*You love to see what Landon is doing outside...especially his bike!

Landon (above)...how about you?
*You love your bike and can go pretty fast now! You do a great job riding around your brothers.
*You are such a great big brothers...really starting to show Austin and Aiden how to do things.
*I love when you want to snuggle!!

Moving Day

It's been a while!!! We moved out of our house on June 8-10 and all in all it went well! It was a busy and tiring few days, but the boys were troopers through it all. We are now settled in at our "summer home" as we like to call it (Thanks Fred and Nancy) and are anxiously awaiting our next move...hopefully in about 5 weeks or so!!

On Monday, 6/8, Landon got to stay with us while Austin and Aiden left for the day. This is the day Dave had help from two of his former students (now high schoolers) to move all the big stuff. Landon was a big help and loved our picnic lunch...check it out!

That day was also the last night we slept in the house...the twins cribs were two of the last things to move! The morning of 6/9, Austin and Aiden were the first ones awake and enjoyed a picnic breakfast on the kitchen floor. YUM!

And on the 9th we also had a picnic lunch. Really - considerint the twins are just about 16 months, they handled all the changes pretty well!! Both Austin and Aiden thought they were big stuff eating on the floor...or walking around which ended up happening, especially for snacks. And Landon liked being the "big brother" and getting to sit up on the chairs.

Other than being sore from moving all the stuff, the move went as smooth as possible. Although we did think we had packed most of our stuff...but as the big stuff was moved out, we kept finding more and more and more and more....you get the idea...that had to be packed. We got it all!

We will definitely miss that house. We've been out for a week now. It was a great house....we grew our family 3 times over in that home. All 3 boys came home from the hospital to that house. Lots of great family memories that will never be forgotten.

But - we are definitely excited about our next place!!! Country living, here we come!!!

Random

I am starting to get into this blog thing a little more, but I still need to work on better organizing my posts. For now, though, here are just some random things the boys have been doing.

Earlier this week Landon was coloring and Austin really wanted to get in on the fun, too! They both worked very hard for quite a long time on their pictures!

Here are some pictures I got of Austin concentrating! Such a hard worker!

Poor Aiden...while the coloring fun was going on, he was taking a nap with Daddy. Both Austin and Aiden had a little stomach bug this week, but it really hit Aiden and this night he was just worn out. So sweet!

Here are a few other shots of Aiden from this week...his many expressions. Notice in the bottom two pictures his foot on the table!!! Silly boy!

We've been busy packing up our boxes for the move (we have to be out of our current home on June 10th). Tonight we spent some time packing up things in the boys rooms. They all helped, but especially Landon. We had him write on his boxes...you can see how he did here. Great job!

We also had some visitors today! Grandma and Grandpa Easterday stopped by for some fun!

They enjoyed a "picnic" snack on the floor - YUM! All 3 boys (and grandparents) were so excited! It was a lot of fun!

Grandpa and Grandma with their boys!! (I was jumping up from behind the island to get the boys to look and smile! Not too bad!)

Good night...sleep tight!

Yes, two days in a row with two posts!

I love sleeping baby/kid pictures but I haven't taken many of the boys in a while. Well, last night as I was checking on all of them before bed, I couldn't resist. Aiden and Landon were in especially cute positions...and Austin was just cute! Check it out...

There's nothing like a peaceful, sleeping child...no matter the age...or position! :)

Excitement!

I feel like I have an overload of posts, but at the same time, with the upcoming move, I know I might be without my home computer for a few days or more, so there might be a lull for a while. I don't want to forget to document anything, so bear with me!

Anyway - this weekend we had the excitement of tornado warnings about 8:30 on Saturday night! Not a good kind of excitement, but all turned out okay. We ended up getting our "shelter" ready (under our stairs) and actually got all 3 boys out of bed because it wasn't clear where the storms were heading. And when you have 3 boys, and Landon's room on the opposite side of the house, it's better to be prepared.

First we got Landon out of bed and he stayed sound asleep on the couch the whole time. Then we decided we better get Aiden and Austin out of bed when the sirens went off again. Austin went right back to sleep on my shoulder and we were just settling in to watch the weather and Dave says "Ummm...Aiden just threw up!" That's right - in the middle of a tornado warning, Aiden threw up all over Dave! Maybe he was nervous - LOL!

So, back to bed Austin went so we could clean up Aiden....and Landon slept through the whole thing!! We ended up putting Aiden back to bed after that and Landon, too, because by then the storm had turned south.

Long story short - we never ended up in the "shelter" but that's okay - we were all safe!!!

I didn't end up getting any pictures of the boys - with all the throw-up and all. Here are a few of the interesting clouds we saw that night.

Let's compare!

I know - two posts in one day! (Don't miss the videos I posted below this one.) While packing, I found Landon's 2nd year calendar and wanted to document each boy's height and weight at 15 months old. I just think it's fun to compare at each age...they are all doing great! I love watching them all grow!!

Landon at 15 months:
Weight - 25.15 pounds (50-75%)
Height - 33 inches (95%)

Austin at 15 months:
Weight - 22.5 pounds (25%)
Height - 31.5 inches (50-75%)

Aiden at 15 months:
Weight - 25.8 pounds (75%)
Height - 32.25 inches (75-90%)

I'm especially curious to see if this continues to grow...will Landon always be the tallest at each age, or will Austin or Aiden take over in height? Time will tell!

Ring around the rosey!

Last week, Landon wanted to do Ring Around the Rosey and we thought it would be fun to start to teach the boys. They actually picked it up pretty quickly! We are still working on getting them to fall down each time, although Aiden is starting to figure that out and fall before it's time. I remember when Landon was learning it I had to hold his hands tight in order to keep him from "falling down" too early. So cute!

Here is Austin and Landon learning...I love how Austin doesn't want to fall down at the end.

And here is Aiden and Landon...you can hear Aiden "singing" the song, too, at the beginning and then laughing at the end - Love it!!!

They will all do it together - with Dave or I - and it's cute to see them all holding hands. But I don't have any good video of that yet!
