Grant's Birthday

Our nephew Grant turned 5 in November, so we had fun going to his birthday celebration!

Here's the birthday boy holding his crown...I love the sweet smile on his face as we sing to him!

Aiden and Austin waiting for cake and ice cream.

Yum - time to eat! Makayla came and joined the little boys!

Grant and Landon enjoying some treats!

I thought this was cute...after the twins got up, Dave sat on the floor at the little table with Makayla. I think they had a nice conversation over cake and ice cream!

While Grant opened presents, Aiden and Austin weren't really interested...they decided to play with all of Grant's toys! :)

The view from the loft...present time!

After the cake and ice cream, Landon and the other 5 year olds (plus one 6 year old - big sister Makayla) got to go to dinner at Pizza King and spend the night! Thanks for having Landon over, Debbie! When we met up the next day, I was greeted by 3 power rangers!!! Chris had painted their faces! I didn't have my camera with me to get Grant and Makayla, but here are a couple of our Blue Power Ranger!!!

I was surprised - but he kept the paint on all day that Sunday!!! Cute!

Let's wrestle!

I knew having 3 boys in our house, that it would usually be loud...and I love that (most of the time - ha!). And I knew that as they got older, they would probably like to wrestle and run and play and be crazy...well, that time has come. It's starting! And while it makes me very nervous (i.e. see huge brick fireplace in our family room)...I love watching when the boys actually play together, laugh at each other and get all sweaty just because they are having fun!

Kind of blurry - you can tell they are running around!

Another blurry one, but here we have Tigger (aka Aiden) and Landon attacking Spiderman (aka Austin). And notice now Dave is sitting in front of the fireplace "just in case!"

Rolling around like crazy boys!!!

Spiderman is up and ready to attack!!!

Landon taking a break with dad...

More fun...

Aiden's turn to take a break with dad...not sure why they are so serious! :-)

The newest game Dave is teaching the boys...how to ARM WRESTLE!! It was fun that evening as they all learned the goal, and seeing who would win each time. It didn't take them long to figure out how to win!!!

Here's to many more fun times ahead!

Silly Boys!

Here are some pictures from early November (11.2.10)...the boys had a lot of energy this day. Random since it was a Tuesday evening!! But they had fun being silly, running from the fireplace to the couch, jumping on the couch cushions.

And this is what I looked like as they were running towards me...they thought that was pretty funny, too!!! Silly, silly boys!

More Halloween

In my attempt to catch up to Thanksgiving and keep as current as I can, here are a few photos from Halloween that I forgot were on the other camera! Since Halloween was more quiet than we anticipated with Landon being sick, I wanted to remember all that we did get to do!

After the 3 places we trick-or-treated, we got a little Burger King for dinner!

After dinner, I realized Landon's fever was on it's way back up...here he is on the couch, under my jacket because he was cold. Poor guy!

Aiden and Austin checking out their candy. This was the first year that they were really excited to see what they had in their bags! It was fun watching them check it out!

Austin was excited about the Hershey Kisses he had!!!

Landon loves candy and after a rest on the couch, he was ready to check out his loot! :-)

Austin...with more Hershey Kisses!!! A favorite for sure!

Aiden playing with an unopened sucker!

So creative!!!

Landon has always been very creative and it's coming out more and more. But it's been fun to watch Austin and Aiden start to love to draw and create. Earlier this fall we got out Landon's easel for the boys and luckily - they share it very well!!! They all love to draw on the dry erase side, or the chalk side.

One afternoon, Austin said he wanted me to draw a "strawberry monster truck." Landon has been into drawing monster trucks, so I wasn't surprised the boys have picked up on that...but not sure where the strawberry came from! Let's just say, though, that from that day - I've drawn a lot of strawberry monster trucks!!!

Here is Austin with the first ever strawberry monster truck...(you can see Landon working hard on the other side!)

Aiden being silly...

Landon with his chalk rainbow...

Austin adding to his picture (right side of picture)...

Aiden learning how to draw from Landon...and waiting his turn...

Here goes Aiden...

Aiden's turn for a strawberry monster truck! Notice the people on top - he had to "drive" and his brothers were riding with him! So creative!

Another creation by Landon...a monster truck. Not bad!

And now for a "Day Family Fruit Train" - now wouldn't that be fun to ride in!!! This was all Landon's creation and handy work! Pretty good!

So proud! Good job, Landon!

Silly!

The boys have always gotten to do fun things at their daycare...which I love. I posted a while back about Austin as a cat. Well, earlier this month they came home with silly hats they made at school. This time, I couldn't get Austin to wear his, but Aiden was happy to model his silly hat for me! Check it out...isn't he cute...and silly??? :-)
Brushing his teeth...
And just being silly...a silly face for a silly hat! Love this picture...love this boy!!!

Flag Football

Okay - so these first to pictures don't have anything to do with flag football...other than this was the same day! :-) One Saturday, Dave's sister and her boys came up for a quick visit. We enjoyed some lunch and then Dave got out his flag football gear to show our oldest nephews Evan and Justin. Unfortunately, I will inside with the twins and didn't get any pictures when they were playing, but here are some fun ones from our day.

Here is a shot of the lunch table...that's what I call a table full of boys! :-)

The boys love it when other kids are around, espeically at meal times! Makes for a lot of laughter!

After they left, Aiden was having a meltdown - he was just very tired - so after I took him up to his bed for some rest (he almost instantly fell asleep) - I looked outside and saw Dave suiting up Austin and Landon for some football!! Love it!

Austin is READY to play some ball - look at him go! :)

Austin is ready to catch!

Alright!!! (Okay - I don't think he actually caught it, but look at him take off to run it back to Dave!) He is so serious!

Here you go, Dad! Let's do it again!!!

Landon's turn to catch! This cracks me up - look how hard he is turning his head out of the way! He did catch it, though!!! Good job, Landon!

This cracks me up, too! Landon thought he needed to ride the boys tricycle. I think he's a little big!

Movie Night

The other day at dinner, Dave says to the boys "I think we should have a movie night." I'm thinking great idea...except what's the plan for picking a movie? :) I was excited because the boys are getting old enough now to try to do something like this...but it was out of the blue, with no real idea of how this would go.

Immediately, Landon starts thinking he gets to pick the movie. It doesn't take long for Austin and Aiden to realize "wait - I want to watch this movie, not that one!" So the conversation at the dinner table was one of excitement, disappointment, curiosity (the twins didn't really know what was going on, but picked up on the plan)...all into one. Finally after going through about 10 movies on the table, talking about letting Dave pick since it was his idea (Landon was not okay with that) and drawing names out of a hat (Austin was drawn)...we settled on letting Austin pick. Landon still didnt' think that was fair, but that's his argument a lot lately, so we moved on!

Austin got up from the table and picked "Geo Trax" - a DVD with 4 short movies on it that came with Landon's Geo Trax he got for Christmas last year. In the end, they were all happy. Truthfully, Aiden was happy once he realized he got popcorn! :-)

These aren't great pictures, but for memory's sake, here are pictures from our first movie night...

All set up...blinds shut, popcorn and water in hand, ready to watch...

Aiden...

Landon...

Austin...

And a couple of nights later, one of the boys asked for another movie night. For the life of me I can't remember what movie we watched, but they all had fun again! (Might have been some Halloween specials we DVR'd, but I can't remember!)

My idea of movie night is pj's on...so next up we'll try a movie night after baths and pj's!!! Maybe Friday night! :-) It's so fun as the boys get older and we can get them "organized" for some fun like this. Next on my list of things I want to do wtih the boys...overnight trips! Maybe next summer! Sounds fun to me!
