Dad's Shadow

Austin is Dave's little helper.  It seems like almost any time Dave is working on something, especially something outside, Austin is right there helping, or trying to learn what it is all about.  I see many, many years of this as he grows and I love it.  Aiden and Landon - so far they aren't quite as interested.  I think it's the work they don't want to do - ha!

A few weeks ago when it was nice, it was time to put away some of the swing set stuff.  Here is Austin helping pull the wagon to the playset.

Now time to empty the sand box...Austin was really excited to see he got to use the little shovel that looks just like dad's big shovel!   

Such a good little worker!  He was seriously throwing the sand around the yard just like his dad - it was so cute! 

Bye bye sand box - see you in the spring! 



Random picture catch up

Before I start into too many more elf or Christmas posts, I thought I would do a random catch up post...then we will dive into more holiday stuff!! 

Back on November 12th, we had our first snow of the season.  Totally random and it only lasted an hour or so once it fell, but luckily I captured a few pictures before it melted.  I thought our trees looked so pretty, and it was the first snowfall on our new b-ball goal!

 

Then - just 5 days later on November 18th, it was so nice the boys were outside riding bikes with no coats at all!  Crazy Indiana weather!!!



 

November 21st - the boys and I went to the park where they have a nice walking trail, and as you can see it was so nice we didn't need coats or long sleeves this day!

November 26th - Austin and Aiden relaxing on the train table!  Looks like a comfy way to watch TV, right??

December 5th - a sunny day.  The twins came home from daycare and immediately wanted to play flag football while waiting on Landon!

Then as soon as they heard Landon's bus coming, then ran to greet him and get him to play football with them!

December 9th - Aiden knows I send a lot of pictures to Grandma Easterday, so this day he asked me to take his picture and send it to Grandma.  I thought it was adorable! 

Austin had to get in on the pictures, too!

Notice the twins in the "tunnels" watching Landon play X-box!  Cute!!

We've also had fun this month ending most days with a Christmas special! 



Is it really January??

Seriously? Were these pictures really taken on January 6th? Why yes....yes they were! It was a beautiful day for a Gator ride while waiting for Landon...

...and to shoot some hoops! The boys played outside for quite a while the next day, too! It was great!

SNOW!!!

December 27th - we finally got some snow!! I was at work that day, but Dave took the boys outside for a few hours and they loved it! It seemed like the perfect weather - cold enough for snow but not too cold to be out for a long time!

They sure love the snow! (Landon is in the red coat/red pants, Austin in yellow/blue, Aiden in the black coat/black pants. I keep looking at these pictures and thinking that Aiden is Landon!)

All done! If you look closely, he even has a cigar in his mouth. Ha ha...nice!

The boys each named the snowman:

Landon named him Monkey

Austin named him Frosty

Aiden named him Football Player

Okay - not really sure about those - ha ha! Frosty, sure. The other two?? Crazy!

Great job, boys!!! Hopefully we'll get more snow - but not too much - to build another one this year!

Then it was time for some sledding! We don't really have any hills here, but the boys are content to pull each other around!

And two days later, the crazy January weather came back and the snowman looked like this....

Black teeth, outside and more pumpkins!

Now that was a loaded title for this post, isn't it? The boys came home one day from school with a spider cupcake - it was cute and covered in black frosting! Check it out!

Nice - ha ha!

Landon couldn't believe Aiden's teeth!

Then it was time to run around outside!!!

If you look at Aiden - he was trying to hide from Dave after getting in trouble. That's his new thing - if he gets in trouble he will laugh and run. Fun times!

I just loving seeing all 3 of them on the swing set!!!
