SNOW!!!

December 27th - we finally got some snow!! I was at work that day, but Dave took the boys outside for a few hours and they loved it! It seemed like the perfect weather - cold enough for snow but not too cold to be out for a long time!

They sure love the snow! (Landon is in the red coat/red pants, Austin in yellow/blue, Aiden in the black coat/black pants. I keep looking at these pictures and thinking that Aiden is Landon!)


Time to build a snow man...with a little help from Dad!

All done! If you look closely, he even has a cigar in his mouth. Ha ha...nice!

The boys each named the snowman:

Landon named him Monkey

Austin named him Frosty

Aiden named him Football Player

Okay - not really sure about those - ha ha! Frosty, sure. The other two?? Crazy!

Great job, boys!!! Hopefully we'll get more snow - but not too much - to build another one this year!

Then it was time for some sledding! We don't really have any hills here, but the boys are content to pull each other around!

And two days later, the crazy January weather came back and the snowman looked like this....

Yes, more snow!!!

Yes, it's possible that we got more snow! This came on a Thursday into Friday and ended up being a snow day all around!!! Luckily it was pretty nice out and we got to be out with the boys for a while.

The boys decided they needed a snow tunnel. Here they are working hard with Dave to dig the tunnel!

They each went through the tunnel multiple times - it was a lot of fun!

Saturday 2.5.11

This was just a typical Saturday, but we had some fun. Landon had swim lessons in the morning - he is doing great. For being so timid and nervous the first week, he is really becoming more brave in the water. I'm so proud!

Here are the boys climbing in the train table...

It was a pretty quiet day, but it did keep snowing! This is deep snow that came down just that morning!! When Landon had swim lessons about 10:30, the snow was really coming down! I'd say we easily got 5-6 inches that morning. Crazy!

Tuesday 2.1.11

This was our first snow day of the week! It was so cold and slick that we weren't able to get outside, but the boys kept busy inside!

Later, there was time to line up as many animals and cars as possible.

And of course, there is always time for a snack and time to relax watching TV! Check out those bananas on the screen! Not sure what we were watching that day!

And while we were inside playing, this was the ice building up outside! And the crazy thing was it blew in from the east to the west. Just strange!

We even found an old tension rod to use to hang some insulated curtains over our front door. We really need a better insulated door...these curtains helped a lot and we still have them up!

A week at home...basically!

These next 4-5 posts will all be about the same week...January 31 - February 5th. What a crazy week it was! Here's the break down, and then enjoy the photo's per post per day. For being stuck at home...we were busy! Well, busy playing anyway!

Monday - I was home with 3 sick boys.
Tuesday - Snow Day
Wednesday - Snow Day
Thursday - Snow Day
Friday - 2 hour delay, so short days away from home
Saturday - swim lessons, then fun at home!

Outside 1-29-11

Wow - look at all those trains! I think Landon counted 77 in that line!!!!


This was the last weekend of January and we had snow. It was a Saturday and all day the boys had been asking to play upstairs. Then I realized it wasn't very cold outside (30's) so we decided to head outside instead and wait for Dave to get home from working in his classroom.

The boys RAN to the playset when we got out there! It had been a while!

And time to warm up, relaxing in their bean bags. One of the few times they just relax in them!
