Christmas Eve

For being a day at home, it seemed like Christmas Eve was a busy day!!!! Here are some pictures from our adventures! (And I know there are a lot of them! I need to take more time to make collages, but I also want to include them all in case one day I decide to do a blog book...and for back up just in case my computer crashes - I always worry about that!)

The day started with some haircuts...as you can see the boys hair was out of control!

First Landon (nice tongue sticking out, I know!)...

Then Aiden...just look at his crazy hair!! His is just like my brother Richard's hair...very coarse and pretty much just does what it wants...that's about it! Key is to keep it short!! Right mom? :)

And finally Austin...

Then of course, we had more baking to do!!! First we had to bake the sugar cookies for Santa. Gotta love the pre-made, pre-shaped dough! With 2-two year olds and 3 total trying to help - I love this stuff!

Some of it we rolled into balls and in sprinkles!

Not sure what Aiden was telling me, but I was listening intently! :-)

And now it was time to do the Gingerbread Train! We did one last year and Landon loved it! This year the twins were also excited and got to do even more!!! Another pre-made wonder that I love!!!
Putting on some green icing!

Landon putting some pieces in place...good job!

Austin was singing Christmas songs almost the entire time - it was so cute!

Aiden smiling big for dad and the camera...he is our best "on cue" smiler! :)

Landon putting more of the train together...concentrating! And Aiden patiently watching!

Now it was Aiden's turn - he was READY!

Good job, Aiden! :-) I think he was also sticking his tongue out a little bit (just like Landon when he's concentrating!)!

And now Austin's turn...great job!!! And he was so patient for his turn!

Austin's looking pretty serious, too! They want it to be just right!

Now time to put the white icing and candy on - the best part!!

Gingerbread train 2010...great job, boys! Austin, Aiden and Landon

Mom and boys

I made Dave get a picture with them, and he wanted it to be silly!

Later on, we had to decorate the sugar cookies. That is when I realized that (1) the twins are still pretty little and doing the train was enough (they each did one cookie and were done), (2) I have 3 little boys and (3) cookies can't hold a candle to little brothers who want to play with your puzzles (aka - Landon had brought down puzzles from his room right before this - that is what the twins wanted to do and Landon stuck with me for, oh, 3 more cookies and then he was done! He had to get to the puzzles!!)

There was even time that day to set up a race track OVER the pillow pets!

And time to color, of course!

Finally - after dinner - it was time to open the 3 presents that were under the tree that evening!

What could be in them??? Austin is trying to find out!

It's pajama's of course! Aiden with his (sorry it's blurry)...

And Landon opening his...(a little blurry, too)

Transformer pajamas - he loves them!

Austin, Daddy and Aiden being silly...and so excited!

Landon in his Bumblebee Transformer pajamas - he loved them!

Big smile from Aiden!

Aiden loved his soft football pajamas!

And Austin in his soft Dino pajamas!!!

Time to put out the food for the reindeer!

Handing it to daddy! A big job for sure! (The next day, it was cute to hear them tell me what they thought happened when the reindeer were out there. A couple of the tubs were knocked over, so they all had their theories of what Santa told the reindeer, and how the little ones had to get in there and tell the big ones to move out of the way. It's so precious to hear what they are thinking and live it through their eyes!)

All ready for bed!! Our annual pajama shot!

And I had to include some blooper shots!

Oh and of course - cookies for Santa!

And had to check Norad to see where Santa was before they went to bed! If you look closely, you can see a red dot on the computer screen...Rudolph's nose of course!

One last picture with Mom before bed...

...and time to read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" with dad!

Wow...Santa really did come!
