Landon's Last Day

Wow - how can Landon's kindergarten year be over? It seems like it was just last summer and I was worried about how the year would go, how he would do, how I would do...and now he's soon to be on to 1st grade!

It was a great year! For having a touch of a wild class, and his teacher out for 6 weeks, Landon handled it all with ease. I'm so proud of him!

His last day was on Wednesday, June 8th. We started the day with some sleeping in and then breakfast in the living room.

Okay - so not the most nutritious breakfast before school, but hey - it was the last day! :)

Landon filling out his last thank you card for his teacher!

And he's all ready!!! I dressed him in the same outfit as the first day (goofy, I know) and you can tell he's grown this year! I just think he looks older!

All 3 boys - being kind of silly!

Had to get one with dad...

and mom! Love this boy!

I worked at home that day so I could see him get off the bus. We all went outside to wait for him to arrive! Austin and Aiden were ready!

There goes Austin on the scooter!

And here comes the bus! Memory - the bus drove by our house a total of 3 times this year without dropping off Landon - when he was ON the bus. Talk about your heart racing when that happens! 2 of the times it was his normal driver, once it was a sub. Anyway - knowing what we knew about this bus driver - I thought it was funny when he actually stopped at the house BEFORE ours to drop off Landon! I couldn't believe it - I had to laugh!

Here comes our little first grader!! Way to go Landon!

It was hot, so I made sure I surprised Landon with some popsicles - he was happy!

Of course, Aiden and Austin enjoyed theirs, too!

He came home those last few days with some really cute memory books from kindergarten. Here are some pictures of some of his work. This first one was all about him...he loves "froot salad" and wants to be a construction worker. If you click on the collage it should get larger.

This last one was his class memory book. I loved reading all the things in his hand writing and what answers he put.

Great job Landon on your kindergarten year! On to First Grade!
