Driving

Finally - on the 16th - the weather was warmer and some of the ice/snow on the driveway had cleared, and we are able to get the boys outside to drive the Gator. They were so excited...especially Austin! You may remember he's been obsessed with driving - anything - for a while, so the idea of his own vehicle to drive was almost too much!

So the time came and we had to decide who got to go first. We decided it was time to introduce the boys to the idea of "flipping a coin". I didn't get a picture of that - I was video taping at that time - but Dave carefully explained how a coin toss worked and they picked their sides. If I remember, Aiden was head's and Austin was tails.

Coin goes up...and comes down on heads!! Aiden gets to go first. We weren't sure how Austin would react - but he was fine! :-)

So, first up - here goes Aiden!!! Aiden is a little more timid and shy about things, especially if he is unsure of what he is doing. He did well, but only ended up driving for a turn or two. But it was a great first drive...way to go Aiden!

Next up - Austin. And he was so excited! Let me tell you - he's a natural! I honestly think if he was physically big enough, he could figure out how to drive a car pretty quickly! He just "feels" it. He knows when to stop, he knows when to turn, he knows how to reverse - it's so cute!!! Here are some pictures from his turn...

Finally, it was Landon's turn! He had fun and immediately asked the boys to ride with him. They had some fun! Good job, Landon!

These pictures crack me up...Landon and Aiden were having some fun!

It's funny...Landon and Aiden both just love to explore! So after their turns on the Gator, they were fine to let Austin keep driving (and drive he did!!) while they walked all over the snow in their boots. These pictures crack me up with no coats yet walking on snow! By the time we went inside it was chilly, but surprisingly nice that evening!
I love watching these two explore and just love being outside!
