The night before...

August 21st...the night before school starts again. The night the boys had to go to bed at 8:00 - no more staying outside as late, watching Wipeout, reading more books. Those things can still happen - especially more books - but not as late.

I love summer - I love not having a routine, not having to come inside as early, not having to wake up the boys by 6:15, not having to get us all out the door and worry about the after school schedule. But at the same time - it's also nice to get back into a routine, a flow, get the boys around their friends. As with any change in schedule, it's bittersweet sometimes.

This year - we had a great "last official day of summer" even though it's 90+ degrees again - ha!

Here is Aiden with his newest stuffed animal addition - a mini-pillow pet - a purple Hippo! He was so proud to get that for potty training success - Austin will get his soon for success, and Landon for tying shoes!!! Good job, Aiden!


And my boys, all 3 bathed and ready for bed. Reading Little Critter's book about the First Day of School! Landon didn't seem nervous at all about starting first grade - just excited! It was a great way to end the night before....
