Random and an adventure

Saturday, August 27th started out like any Saturday at home - some projects, some play time...nothing exciting.

Austin is really turning into dad's little helper - he always wants to be outside with Dave if he's working on something and is a really good little helper! We needed to plant some grass seed where our swing used to be and Austin was right there helping. Here he is watering the seed...so cute!

Who's in the box? Yes, it's Austin! The boys realized they could fit inside - although Aiden never tried. Austin thought it was fun to play his harmonica!

And yes - this is Landon inside the plastic box. Dave was shocked he could fit inside!

Silly Landon!

Then - it was time for an Adventure! The Hoosier Classic was on Saturday and the last high school game played was between Sheridan (where Dave was an assistant one year way back) and Hamilton Heights - Landon's school! We decided it was a great way to get the little boys to Lucas Oil Stadium with not a huge commitment - so off we went!

We just sat down - the little boys taking it all in!

Landon was checking it all out, too - especially the open roof! :-)

It was a beautiful day for some football!

Making Aiden and Austin pose for a picture! Ha ha!

Taking break to do some drawing!

Aiden was really concentrating! :)

Here come the Huskies! Notice the orange...Hamilton Heights school colors are orange/brown/white! After growing up in Culver (orange and black) I never thought I would run into a school down here with orange for a school color but we have! Time to start buying more orange again! :)

Both teams on the field.

These aren't the best pictures with me - but we had to document the fun!

They were so excited to get some popcorn!

And Aiden was even more excited when he got to hold the bad all by himself!!!

And Landon was the MOST excited about Dippin' Dots! He saw them when we went out to get dinner first thing and asked, and asked, and asked all night to have some. Finally - he got some! He picked something rainbow that tasted like rainbow sherbet - he was in Heaven! I got one with Oreo in it for Aiden to try, which he loved and unfortunately, Austin wasn't able to because nut warnings. Can't be too careful!! But he got some M&M's so he was happy!

Aiden being silly!

On the way out, we got some pictures of them in front of a sign/gate...and a shot looking up at the lights on the stadium!

It was a great family day! Now that the boys are finally potty trained - YES, I said it - potty trained! Woo Hoo! Anyway - now that they are potty trained, it is so much easier to think of things to go and do! I'm so excited at what other new adventures we will be taking!
